We love our Rodanthe home built in 2022 by Brian Brumfield of Brumfield Realty & Construction Custom Homes, Inc. Brian worked with us throughout the entire process, including purchasing the property, home designs from which to choose, customization of house plans, lot elevations, construction, etc.

We received regular updates from Brian as things progressed, including photos and videos of the work. With these photos and videos, Brian was able to easily explain to us what was going on, even though we were then three hundred miles away. At no point did we not feel comfortable as to where we were in the process of construction. Brian’s attention to detail is seen both inside and out.

The bullnose corners on the drywall and the custom doors and window trim on the inside of the home are also matched outside by the expansive decking. All the patterned decking consists of routed edge deck boards as well as the railings. Even the under-house lattice is a step above the norm, with Brian using the thicker, five-quarter X 6 board vs. the standard 1X4.

After we moved into the home, we were approached by a few of the other full-time residents nearby who watched home being built. They all commented on how well the home was constructed and we most definitely agree. We highly recommend Brian and Brumfield Realty & Construction Custom Homes, Inc. for your next project. It’s been three years since he built our home, and Brian still keeps in touch.

The idea of building a home on the Outer Banks while still living in Ohio was overwhelming at best. When we met Brian we knew we had found the right person to build our home.
